It is now the end of the year. 2012 has come to a final end. Yes we made it! We have yet another chance to get it right and make improvements in our lives. If this year has been less than productive and fulfilling for you now is the time to change, to make adjustments to accommodate your new ideal. We have survived the end of the world prediction from the Mayan Calendar as well as other doomsday predictions. This alone should spark new ideals and expectations in you.
The new experiences and changes you expect to see will require a commitment and dedication from you however. But that does not mean it is impossible.
If you plan for the changes you want to see and new life you want to live you will find every day brings a new opportunity.
There is only one way to experience this change and that is to write it down. It has been proven that when you write things down they become more concrete and when you see it on paper it does something to your mind to let you know there is a definite plan ahead.
Before you make your list, consider what you want carefully. Yes anything is possible but the more realistic you are the better chance you have of accomplishing those levels of experiences.
Start small and slowly increase to what you want ultimately.
You don’t want to overwhelm yourself but you want to effect change in the smallest way that will propel you continue to move forward.
Your list of experiences you would like to live should include your life. Your goals should include personal, professional and financial objectives. Start small with your ideals continuing to grow to an ultimate end result.
My list of goals will look like this:
Personal goals
- Walk every day for an hour
- Cook more at home and eat out less
- Organize my many books and dvds that I have all over the place
- Read a book a month
- Watch less tv
- Meditate more
- Stay in the moment
- Get my certification to become a spiritual coach, teacher and counselor
Professional goals
- Work on my blogs every day
- Learn as much as I can about making money online
- Commit to my online ventures
- Seek help when needed
- Retire from my job within 5 years to work from home
Financial Goals
- Do not impulse shop
- Shop more from sales
- Manage money better
- Pay my 3 credit cards off
- Give more consistently
- To supplement my retirement by more than 100%
- To live financially free
My goals may be very simplistic but that is the point. If I start small and achieve the small results the possibility of me continuing to move forward up my list will only increase. Of course when I make my list I may include more details to ensure my accomplishment and I will include a vision board to assist me in staying on track.
A vision board if you are unfamiliar is a board with pictures of all the things you want in your life. This could include any and everything. Some boards have pictures of places to visit, material items you want to own, mindsets you want to achieve, money you want to make, the list is endless. A vision board is as creative and as personal as the person creating it.
So you get the point. Make a workable achievable list that is possible for you to accomplish. Make it fun. It does not have to be all serious. It only has to include changes or improvements you want to achieve. Have fun with it. After all it is your life and you have the whole year of 2013 to accomplish your goals.
I loved this post, such a good outlook.
